Merida Mouse Murder - I am so proud of her! Her litter was one I bred using everything I have learned over the past half century studying successful breeders. It was an outstanding litter and I kept two, Merida and her brother Hoot Mon, to continue the DanBar Cairns.
Merida is a stunning red brindle, perfect natural hard coat (no stripping needed to look like a proper cairn!) Her temperament is classic... terribly clever, terribly naughty and absolutely loving.
I so look forward to having her represent my breeding program and sure look forward to sharing her pups with others interested in rustic, wonderful cairns.
Come meet Merida - don't be surprised if she has a freshly killed mouse in her mouth... she takes her name seriously!
Merida sleeping on the printer... (sigh)!
Naughty Merida... wanting to be close, she sleeps on my printer.
I took this picture one morning when Merida was sitting on my lap as I sat at the computer. Please note: mouse tail sticking out of her mouth!!!
This is a "natural cairn", i.e., one that has not been plucked, stripped, ear hair trimmed - nothing. Unlike modern show breeders, I fix my coat issues in the whelping box - NOT on the grooming table.
